Since 2006, Mariana Araoz has been developing research in the field of mask, objects and puppetry theatre within Collectif Masque in France and with TMR-In Balance theater in Sweden. Often mixing professional performers combined with a chorus of amateur performers in her creative process for the stage. She specializes in gender balance and environment art challenges.
The TMR-In Balance team is trained in the In-Balance Method.
Mariana Araoz, argentinian-french artist specialised in puppet, mask and object theater, holds a Master's degree in Enviromental management and a Bachelor's degree in Theater Studies from the Sorbonne-Nouvelle. Director and designer of the In-Balance Method©, she is a permanent professor at the Malmö National Theater Academy in Sweden. She teaches at National Drama schools in Paris, Moscow, Hong Kong, Seville, Oslo, Minneapolis and New York. She has staged more than forty shows in France, Sweden and the USA. Nominated in 2014 for the Thalia Prize in Sweden, she was also a winner of the Support Fund for the Avignon Off Festival in 2017, and the Regional Inovative Social Theater award.
